HAF artist feature - Thunder Rose Leather

I don't know if I ever told you, but my hubby's grandmother was an American Indian, and that's part of the reason we both love Indian heritage, and handmade items.  2 years ago, Chuck and I ran away from home for the weekend and visited the Cherokee Indian Reservation here in North Carolina. You can read about it here, but I need to tell you, while I enjoyed the arts and crafts there, the prices were way out of my range.  And the items in the smaller shops were mostly imports.  So I didn't get much for souvenirs.  Which is why I just love my HandmadeArtists.com feature for this week...

Debbie and John reside in Arizona, the heart of the southwest, and are accomplished artists and their medium of choice is beads and leather.  And they are very very good at what they do...

Take a look at these newborn baby moccasins.  They measure only 4" from heel to toe, I can't imagine sewing all those tiny seed beads on that tiny piece of leather, so I will gladly purchase a pair from this shop.  Each item that they sell is custom made at the time of sale, and with the variances that you will find in leather, each item is truly a one-of-a-kind creation.  One you can treasure for generations.  And the prices are so reasonable that you can provide moccasins for the whole family. :0)

Now for a little something special for the amazing woman that spends her energy chasing the little feet in moccasins.  At Thunder Rose Leather, you will find some really wonderful handbags.  This fringe 2-tone bag is my favorite.  The wide strap means added comfort, especially after you fill this possibles bag with everything a woman needs to have with her at all times.  Which is a lot. LOL.  This rustic looking bohemian style shoulder bag is very roomy, 12" x 12" x 3" with an inside pocket.  And the really great thing is...John and Debbi is having a sale...right now...20% off everything.  If you shop on their Etsy site, the prices are already marked with the discount, and if you shop in their HandmadeArtists shop, just use the coupon code THUNDERROSE at checkout to get your 20%.
There are many places on the Internet where you can find Thunder Rose Leather, and here they are...
Now head on over and check out all their items, from bags to pouches, from moccasins to shirts, you'll be amazed, just like I am every time I visit them myself.
Oh, and don't forget to tell them I sent you.  They are wonderful people and love company.
Be blessed,
Debbi

I love that bag, too. The Field Museum in Chicago has a collection of very old Native American princess dresses. There are gazillions of seeds sewn on them and they are STUNNING! They have such patience.
