Friday Feature Artist - Patchwork Mountain Quilts

This weeks featured artist is from The Craft Star..

Diane Alders has an amazing talent with a needle and thread, and creates totally awesome quilts.

Diane lives in Colorado and started her sewing career as a child creating her own fashion designs and making her own clothes.  As she grew, not just in years, but in her sewing ability, she discovered the world of quilting....and the rest, as they say, is history.

I love the color of this blue floral lap quilt.  It measures 59" square and is made with 100% cotton fabric and batting.  There is a lot, and I mean A LOT, of work that goes into a quilt.  I started a piecework Texas Star quilt many years ago.  I have over 1,000 little triangles cut out, and they are still sitting in bags waiting to be pieced together. lol.

The shading and form of this Bargello Art wall quilt is eye catching.  This quilt measure 30" wide by 42" long, and I find it just stunning.

Now if you want quilts in your home but just don't have the wall space, these adorable acorn pot holders are perfect for you.  And no, it's not too early for fall décor....just ask WalMart. lol

You can also find Patchwork Mountain Quilts at the following places.

Now for a challenge.  Tour Diane's shop, and share in a comment your favorite piece.

Till tomorrow,
Be blessed,
Debbi

Oh, that blue floral lap quilt is my favorite out of the ones featured today. Absolutely beautiful. I love quilts. And the time put into them is just amazing. My youngest son had two hospital stays, and he received a quilt on each stay. The "special blankies" are just something that makes the hospital stay that much more easier, and I always appreciate quilt-work.
Wonderful feature!
