I was sitting at my desk at work, pushing the same old papers that I pushed every single day, and not thinking of anything special.
Then the news came...and the television in the conference room was turned on. Radios were tuned into news reports, those of us with computers watched on-line.
I saw the second plane hit...
...and just like everyone around me, I was in tears.
Why?
We always think "that won't happen here", but it did. And it may again if we don't learn from our history. Don't ignore it. Don't change it. Learn from it.
These days we are fighting the wrong enemy...ourselves. Each other. We need to remember, and come back together. As a nation. As a family.
I will always remember.
Be blessed,
Debbi

I lost my husband 9 months to the day. I don't remember the day. I looked as I saw it on TV, but it was not until much later that what had happened actually sunk in. I watched a documentary that was in the process of being filmed at a NYC Fire Station.
We do need to learn and reunite as a Nation

I remember that moment and feeling so devastated. I didn't know anyone personally who was lost that day but being from the Boston area, many people knew someone lost. I had lived in the town where one of the pilots lived. It really hit home too hard. We really do need to reunite as a nation. All the violence and hatred among our own citizens baffles me.
