3 from the BESTeam

Wow, I can't believe I let a whole week go by without blogging anything!!!  I was trying to finish up a custom order inbetween "play" dates with Owen, Chuck coming down with a cold, and Christmas shopping? Forget it!  I only made it to one store, but I thankfully ordered a few things on-line. I realized that I was losing total control over my time when I remembered this great post from Erin Giles.  I subscribe to her blog (one of the few I subscribe to) and last month she wrote this great piece about using your time, Smokin' What I Sell, How I put my family before my business.  Yeah, it only took me a month to put it into practice, but I have been running on that hamster wheel, and not only was my family getting short-changed, so was my business.  So I made myself an HOURLY schedule.  I cut out for myself 4 hours of computer time and 3 hours of studio time, just like a real out of the house job!  And with this being the Christmas rush, this was probably not the best time to start. hahaha.  But yeah, I will be putting into practice what I preach to everyone else, especially my good friends on the BESTeam.  With that being said (and I only have 1 hour left of work time this morning)  here are my favorite items from the shops of Absolutely Kismet, Beader Bubbe, and Redemption Art.
I have always considered drinking wine a "classy" thing to do, and even though I don't drink myself, I love to entertain.  What better way to track each guests glass than with a "classy" wine charm.  In the shop of Absolutely Kismet, you can find all kinds of wine charms (and some jewelry).  My favorite one is this Bow Tie Wine Charms.  It comes in a set of 6, and you get to choose the color.
My favorite piece from BeaderBubbe is this Butterfly Pendant.  My love of heat and summer is no secret, and one of my most favorite summer pastimes is watching the butterflies and hummingbirds in my garden.  I chose flowers and plants just for them, so this necklace is a no brainer for me!  Agnes is a loving (and spoiling) gramma just like me, and can't wait to retire so she can create and sell her jewelry full time.  Etsy / Blog / Facebook / Twitter
Now over to Connie's shop, Redemption Art.  Located in Hawaii, you'll find some amazing vintage items here, like this cobalt blue hand painted vase.  The colors just shout out "LOOK AT ME".  Connie has made some great vintage finds, she has a good eye and knows what to look for, there is always something new in her shop.  And if that's not enough, she has a second shop, Volcano Girl Creations, where she offers her handmade items.  And her blog is one of the few that I subscribe to....  Etsy / Etsy 2 / Blog / Facebook / Twitter / Pinterest
Now it's your turn.  Go visit these great shops and find your own personal favorites.  And if you're an Etsy seller with a blog, come and join the BESTeam around.  And follow our team blog for more news about our members.

The Best of Black

Black is a great color (or a great color void of color, heehee).  Think about it...it's the great all around color that goes with anything, rarely shows dirt (except for white chalk), and my favorite...it makes you look thinner!  Black is the common theme I found in my 4 BESTeam shop features for this week.  So slip on your favorite little black dress and let me show you what I found.

Isn't this black butterfly simply gorgeous?  You can find this in the shop of the 3 totally talented women that make up Poison Garden.  You'll also find some really fantastic jewelry.  This piece is so feminine and yet so dark and Gothic, but they also have necklaces that are light and colorful too.  Check out their shop and other links here.

Every necklace needs a bracelet, and you'll find this black and silver bracelet in the shop of BeaderBubbe.  Pretty black beads with silver spacers are strung on memory wire, to fit any size.  And it has a cute little silver charm attached.  You can find Agnes's awesome links here.

Now, I know that many women don't wear hats anymore, and that's a shame.  A great hat just adds to any outfit, and this wonderfully feminine vintage black wool hat is just the ticket to top off your new look.  At only $15, you better hurry before someone else runs to Redemption Art and snags it before you.  Check out the rest of Connie's on-line places here.

Now, you may be wondering, "what am I going to do with this black mini leather journal when I'm all dressed up?"  Well, it's to jot down the phone numbers of all the men that will be giving you foolish pick up lines all night long. hahaha.  Shirley makes the coolest journals at The Orange Windmill.  Big ones, little ones, and all the colors of the rainbow.  Yellow, orange, turquoise, and they look so soft.  You could get lost writing your life story in one of these.  Here are her links.

Now let me also tell you a little about the BESTeam.  We are a group of Etsy artisans that help to promote each other thru our blogs and other social media outlets.  We also share tips on our private team page and on our own team blog.  If you would like to be a part of the besteam on Etsy, just click on either link above.
Now I'll see you all here again tomorrow.  Until then, be good.  If you can't be good, don't call me for bail money. hahaha

BESTeam pretty in pink

Well, it's been a week without an internet connection, and you want to know what I discovered? You can't really work your on-line shop or write your blog from a cell phone, lol.  But I'm here now, and excited to share with y'all the new format we here at the BESTeam will be using to share the great shops and products of our other team members.  Instead of an indepth look at one shop, I get to share my favorites from three shops.  Yippee!  And as a theme, I chose "pretty in pink".

Agnes (aka BeaderBubbe) started out selling her jewelry to her friends, then she realized that this would be a great way to spend her retirement.  While she's not retired yet, her shop is open and full of great items.  I love this Hearts of Glass pendant.  You can also find her on twitter, facebook, and her blog.

Next up is Absolutely Kismet. Kirsten loves playing with beads, and mostly makes wine charms.  But she also created these Hot Pink Stitch Markers for us knitters. Made on a closed ring, and lightweight, these are a very pretty way to mark your rounds.  You can also find her on twitter, facebook, and her blog.

Tina and Mick are the creative husband and wife duo of Off The Wall Expressions.  They can take anything you can think of (and some things I would never have thought of) and turn it into a wonderful focal point; for the wall, cabinet door, or floor.  I absolutely love this Diva in Training.  Definetly a must have on my daughters Christmas list!  You can also find this dynamic duo on facebook, and, of course, their blog.
Well, that's my trio of favorites for this week.  And remember, if you are an Etsy artist and a blogger, come join the BESTeam for support and promotion.
Thanks for reading, and please, leave a comment! Just be nice :~)
