What's new in handmade at Handmade Artists

It's been a while since I visited my friends over at Handmade Artists, so let's check out what's new.
The first item I saw was a new creation from my freind Monika at MyEuropeanTouch.  She does amazing mosaic work, taking old china and boxes and musical instruments, and turning them into something new and amazaing, and BEAUTIMUS.  Like this Mosaic Teapot Table Lamp.  This past fall I had the opportunity to meet Monika in person and she is as beautiful as her creations.  You can read about our visit, complete with pictures, here.
You may not know this about me, but I am super patriotic.  My daddy was a Navy man, and I have many loved ones serving in the military today.  I teach American History, (not social studies) in homeschool, and I still stand and cover my heart when the flag passes me in a parade.  So this lovely USA flag rag rug quickly caught my eye.  My late aunt use to make these rag rugs, so I know just how much work goes into each one, a true labor of love.  You can find this rug in the shop, loynd1959.
I only have one word for this Jarred necklace and earring set...stunning!  I love the look of faceted beads, they catch and throw light like nobody's business.  This set, and many others, can be found at olufemiojetunde.

Well, these are my finds this morning, but don't just stop with these, you can support small family business and the handmade community by shopping at Handmade Artists, or my shop site, The Craft Star.

Be blessed,
Debbi

Memorial Day creations...for you patriotic decor

I did some window shopping for items to help us celebrate Memorial Day.
There's still plenty of time to order for your 4th of July picnic.
I shopped at HandmadeArtists and The Craft Star, and I even popped in at Etsy

I love this painting of patriotic horses.  And it's a painting, not a print.  Done in acrylic on an 11 x 14 canvas board, Chase Your Dreams makes owning original artwork affordable for everyone.  And this shop is one of my favorites, I seem to be drawn to her creations time after time.

OK, when I first saw this little soldier, I had to click on it to get a closer look.  Guess what?  It's a light bulb.  That's right, a light bulb...how cool is that?
I found him in the shop of Two Hens and a Chick.  I even like that name! lol.  You should see the other light bulb people living there...too funny.

I love polymer clay.  It is one medium I have never tried...and I don't need to with great polymer clay artists like MyLovi.
That is where I met Joe Patriot.

WOW...and I mean....WOW.  I am amazed by this 3D American Bald Eagel beaded necklace
I had to add a second picture so you see the 3D effect.
Cool, huh? I found this little goodie at
And last, but not least, we must remember why, and who, we observe on this long holiday weekend.  This handpainted wooden sign  from Snickerdoodle Signs is perfect for that very reason.

I would like to take a moment to thank all the service men and women who serve in our armed forces...it is because of you that we are free.

Be blessed,
Debbi
