look what I found on twitter

I like twitter.  I use it a lot, mostly because it is so easy to share stuff with only one click.  This morning I thought I would check out what others are tweeting about....and share them with you.

wow, I love the color of this silver red agate ring by riorita.  this is NOT just a stone glued into a setting, Irith is a very skilled silversmith and handcrafted every part of this beautiful ring...and she offers free shipping from Israel.  Plus I know Irith, and she is not only a talented jewelry designer, but also a super nice person.

When I saw the tweet for orange slice string art, what first came to mind was the traditional string art of the 70's, but what I found was this way cool acrylic painting of an orange slice with string in it.  I love the color, of course, but I also started to drool looking at it because it looks delicious.  You can find this at

The last thing I'll share is this really cool facebook page I found...crafthunters.  Ok, to be totally honest, it was this picture that got me hooked. hahaha.  That is so me, and most of my friends, huddled over our crafting tables, cackling like a bunch of old hens...
It's actually a Russian page, translated in English, and has some totally cool do-it-yourself crafting ideas.
I liked it. :0)

So, what do you tweet?

Handmadeartists Forum, come join the fun

I know I've shared this site with y'all before, but it's such a good site, so it was time to share it again.
There is a place where artists can get together to learn new things, share and promote new items, and just support each other in our day to day lives, and there is a lot less drama here then on facebook or some other forums.  It's the Handmade Artists Forum.

Kimberly and Andrew Kitchen started the Handmade Artists Forum because they have a passion for handmade, and especially for the "weekend" artists.  Those of us who love to create whenever and wherever we can, while still maintaining our lives with family and jobs.  You can read more about the mission statement here.

On the forum you will find oodles of subjects to discuss, and contests to enter, and places to share the links to your facebook, twitter, pinterest, and other social sites.  We also share our newest creations and encourage each other to try new ways to express our creative sides.

The Kitchens saw that as the forum grew, so did the need for a site for these artists to offer their items to those in search of beautiful handmade products.  And the Handmade Artist Shop was born.  And just recently they merged the 2 sites into one, so it is very easy to navigate.

So come on over and join the fun at Handmade Artists!

Be blessed,

The Handmade Artists Forum

A few months back I was reading some of my favorite blogs, and on one there was a button on the sidebar for a site named The Handmade Artists Forum.  Well, I love a good social site, meeting new people, and seeing their talent encourages me in my art, so I figured I would check it out.  I love it there!  The Handmade Artists Forum is the growing "baby" of Andrew and Kimberly Kitchen, who are amazing artists themselves.  Click here to read the story of how this site came to be, right from the "horses mouth" as it were.  This site is a wonderful place for newbies, and experienced crafters.  You can learn from tutorials, check out other artists works, and just visit in our on-line chat every Thursday.  And now they have a "sister" site...The Handmade Artists Shop, an on-line shop where for a nominal fee, you can list items for sale, and they promote you like crazy.  We have a new shop there, and right now Andrew and Kim are combining both sites into one.  So all you crafters need to come and join us!  You'll be glad you did.
