Time for a little window shopping...

Man, I really need to win the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes...

Isn't this cute?  A perfect gift for Hannah.  (Like she needs more stuff).
Handmade In Chico has tons of great scrabble jewelry.  This one I found in their The Craft Star shop.

I just can't stay away from this southwestern bracelet by Red Lacewing Jewelry Design.  This is a new shop at The Craft Star, she just opened a few days ago.

Hair clips like this Silver Celtic Cross Slide Barrette were all the rage when I was a teen.  It's nice to see that they are making a comeback.  (I sill have one of mine from way back when).  This is in the shop of Dara Gallery over at Handmade Artists.

My step-daughter used to collect masks, and she would have LOVED this pink and silver brocade mask.  Guess where I found it...
yep, at Dara Gallery's shop.  She's my newest favorite place to visit.

Color, color, color!!!  What a great "seapunk" wrap bracelet by One Eye Cat Studio.  This shop is on Etsy.

Well, it's time to stop spending money and time to start making money.  I'll be at The Evening Farmers Market in Pecan Park in Statesville tonight, and I need to get my stuff together. :0)

Be blessed,
Debbi

The Craft Star artist feature - Kristen Perez

You have to see the cool items from this weeks artist feature for
It's Kristen Perez, and she has 2 totally awesome shops there.  The first one is
Here you'll find a great assortment of hair accessories.  And they are so cool...to me they look like fabric origami.  But the craft is called Kanzashi, the Japanese art of fabric folding.  It's amazing.

This Lavender and Ivory haircomb is a perfect example.  Just look at how perfectly Kristen has each layer of each petal.  Amazing.

Here she added peacock feathers to this teal and plum haircomb.  These would be perfect for bridal parties, or any special occasion.

And just in time for Christmas, this Red and Green bow barrette is something every little (and big) girl would love to find in their stocking.

Tomorrow I'll share Kristen's other shop, Secret Gems, where she offers all her jewelry designs.
Until then, live life and be happy.
Be blessed,
Debbi

new listings

I don't normally "toot" our own horn, but I've been a busy little girl this week, so I figured I would show you what all I accomplished.  Here are the new items we listed for sale this week.
On Etsy we have...

this bright orange, pink, and yellow Inkle loom woven belt.   Remember when I told you that my wonderful husband, in response to my desire to learn a new craft, he built me an Inkle loom.  This belt was my first attempt and it turned out very well.  I love the colors, and with the long fringe, it is very retro looking, think 1960's hippy.  It measures 45" long.  This is also a great summer look, but the weather is changing, and before we know it, it will be Christmas!  So I've started to add items for the holiday season.
Last year I sold several sets of this Santa scarf and mittens.  This listing is for the scarf only, but if you would like a full set, just let me know.  I also have several Christmas hair ribbons.   The traditional colors of red and green are offset with contrasting pom poms and beads.  Perfect for little (and big) girls.

Over in our HandmadeArtists shop I listed this fun fur lime green and turquoise striped accent pillow.  It only measure 10" square, so it looks great anywhere.  And the colors and fur would be great for a teens bedroom.

So click on any link above to visit our shops, and bookmark our shops for your easy Christmas shopping!

Back to school specials

Yes, I admit, I have circled the date on my calendar and I am counting the days till my girls
GO BACK TO SCHOOL!
I think, no, I know, I am more excited than they are, lol.  But to help them get excited, I did some shopping for back to school specials and here they are....

For the collage bound student, WhetherBags on Etsy has this daytripper / messenger bag on sale for an amazing 57% off.  This bag is made from vegan-dyed organic cotton canvas with a hemp canvas liner and strap.  There is one inner pocket and it closes with cotton snap tape.  Lisa is retiring this style, and there is only 1 left, so you better get it now.

While this item is not on sale right now, I have to share with you the amazing work of Blue Highways over at Handmadeartists.com.  She makes the most beautiful journals, all hand cut and bound.  The details on these journals, and the fact that Andrea retires the fabric after only 3 books, makes these well worth the money.  You can find a journal in all sizes and for all reasons, lined and unlined.  Any student would love to complete her English essays in a journal like this one.  And this one, with the bright orange butterflies, is by far my favorite.  It even has a name, Unquestionable Peace.
Now, for the little girl in all of us, Sassafras Gifts is having a Back to School Special....20% off hair accessories.  I for one, know that I need to get my girls out of bed early enough that they can change their outfits 5 times, and fix their hair, all before the bus arrives.  Oh, the hard life of a middle schooler, lol.  Now these Zebra Gerber Daisy hair clips are adorable for grammer school, and still fun and funky enough for the older girls.  And with 18 pieces in this set, share time!!!
There is still time to order and receive these items before the first day of school, or click on the links above and check them out today.
Be blessed,
Debbi

Chicky D's, not just for kids

I have a BESTeam friend on Etsy. Her name is Danielle, and her range of talent amazes me.  She started out years ago with a shop for her photography, and since then she has morphed into a great fashion accessories designer with her shop, Chicky D's.
She started with childrens bows.  She even created 2 special order ones for me, that my great-niece loves.  But her bows aren't just for children.
I love this Orange and White Striped Bow (of course) and I have just the perfect outfit to match!  She has so many different styles of Boutique Bows, that you are sure to find something for any girl between the ages of 1 and 100.
You'll also find Loopy Bows and Flower Bows.
Take a look at her headbands.  I love this Shabby Chic Floral Headband.  The colors are so pretty, especially the blue one.  Growing up, Danielle's mom loved to dress her up, complete with hair bows.  She also studied graphic design and now works in her local newspaper.  While she loves her job, creating is her passion and she loves learning new crafts.  She is also a very accomplished photographer.
I am a hat person...I love to accessorize with hats, and Danielle has hats.  This Military Style Boutique Hat is decorated wit yoyos and buttons.  Very chic, and you can also find it in a childs size.

Danielle has expanded her talents to include pillows...
The pink in this Pastel Flowers with Bubbles pillow just makes the flowers pop....accenting your chair or sofa like her bows accent your outfits.  So go see her shop and don't forget to take something special home with you.
You can also find Danielle here...
