Capsteam treasury challenge

I have been having fun lately, making (and being in) some Etsy treasuries.  I recently joined the On Fire For Handmade team, which is all about treasuries.  Well, I also belong to (and really like) the CAPSteam.  Christian Artists Promoting Shops team.  It's nice to have a group of believers helping each other in our quest to improve and grow our on-line shops.  Yesterday they started a treasury challenge, and it looks like fun, but before I go and make my treasury, let me share with you a treasury created by Leah's heart.  And yes, she included us!  I'll share my treasury when I'm done.

The Best of Black

Black is a great color (or a great color void of color, heehee).  Think about it...it's the great all around color that goes with anything, rarely shows dirt (except for white chalk), and my favorite...it makes you look thinner!  Black is the common theme I found in my 4 BESTeam shop features for this week.  So slip on your favorite little black dress and let me show you what I found.

Isn't this black butterfly simply gorgeous?  You can find this in the shop of the 3 totally talented women that make up Poison Garden.  You'll also find some really fantastic jewelry.  This piece is so feminine and yet so dark and Gothic, but they also have necklaces that are light and colorful too.  Check out their shop and other links here.
Etsy / Blog / Facebook / Twitter

Every necklace needs a bracelet, and you'll find this black and silver bracelet in the shop of BeaderBubbe.  Pretty black beads with silver spacers are strung on memory wire, to fit any size.  And it has a cute little silver charm attached.  You can find Agnes's awesome links here.
Etsy / Blog / Facebook / Twitter
Now, I know that many women don't wear hats anymore, and that's a shame.  A great hat just adds to any outfit, and this wonderfully feminine vintage black wool hat is just the ticket to top off your new look.  At only $15, you better hurry before someone else runs to Redemption Art and snags it before you.  Check out the rest of Connie's on-line places here.

Now, you may be wondering, "what am I going to do with this black mini leather journal when I'm all dressed up?"  Well, it's to jot down the phone numbers of all the men that will be giving you foolish pick up lines all night long. hahaha.  Shirley makes the coolest journals at The Orange Windmill.  Big ones, little ones, and all the colors of the rainbow.  Yellow, orange, turquoise, and they look so soft.  You could get lost writing your life story in one of these.  Here are her links.

Now let me also tell you a little about the BESTeam.  We are a group of Etsy artisans that help to promote each other thru our blogs and other social media outlets.  We also share tips on our private team page and on our own team blog.  If you would like to be a part of the besteam on Etsy, just click on either link above.
Now I'll see you all here again tomorrow.  Until then, be good.  If you can't be good, don't call me for bail money. hahaha

Some new and old listings

I finally put some new items in the Etsy shop today.  Got to get ready for the Christmas rush, you know.  So let me share with you the 3 new items, plus 4 older items that are due to expire.  Which means this is your chance to save 40% on those 4 by using the coupon code ONEWEEKLEFT.
So first up, my 3 new listings...

I found these "beads" at Fire Mountain Gems, and being a tea drinker, I had to buy them.  I paired the copper tea pieces with an amber crystal bead for these cute little earrings.  For only $6.00 this would be a great stocking stuffer for the tea drinker in your life.  You can find them here.

Next is this shades of brown choker.  It was hard to get a good picture of this, even with a lightbox.  The color of the beads are so deep and rich, like a good piece of chocolate candy.  The large beads are of graduating sizes and I paired them with smaller glass pearl beads, and bicone beads, with little copper colored spacers.
You can find it here for only $25.00.

My last new listing for today is this wonderful brown and green beaded necklace, with a definite African feel.  It was created using a double strand of wire, so in the pattern you will see a depth of texture with the frosty green beads, and the brown wood "teeth" will make you feel....wild. :~D  This necklace is a matinee length of 28", so it is quite long.  I priced this piece at $23.00 and

Now for my sale items....
I call these "Shades of Blue", and you can probably guess why.  These dangle earrings are only 1 3/4" long, so they would be a good length for any age female, from a grown woman to a little girl.  I have them listed at $8.00, but with the coupon they are only $4.80.

These black and white teardrop earrings are such a classic look.  They are 2 1/4" long and hang from hypo-allergenic lever back hooks.  Perfect for that little black dress, or the holiday season at the Philharmonic Orchestra.  They are listed at $7.00, but with the coupon, you can have them for $4.20.

I took this picture long before I knew about taking good photos, or lightboxes, as you can tell by the reflections, lol.  This very long beaded necklace measures 31" and was created with a great variety of beads.  I used some multifaceted amber beads, small white pearl beads, and a collections of silver spacer beads.  Listed at $18.00, it can be yours for $10.80.

Last, but certainly not least, is my one of a kind blood red heart choker.  I found the dark pewter grey choker at a local thrift store, and it was just calling out to be re-vamped.  As soon as I saw it, I knew exactly the beads this necklace needed, and this is the finished product.  It has been featured on many treasuries, and is much prettier then the picture.  Listed at $28.00, with the coupon it is now only $16.80.

Now these last 4 pieces will expire sometime this coming week, so don't wait to take advantage of this sale.  Because what is not sold will be listed at full price in our new shop on the Handmade Artist Shop site.  I'll have more details on that shop for you in the future.  So happy shopping!

Saturday Shopping Link Up - free for all

Well, I didn't have a lot of time this week to think of a theme, so this week is a free for all, lol.  Post anything you like!!!  So I looked thru some of my older cirlce friends to see what was new, so here's some Etsy things I like...
Look at the color!!!!  I love it!  These are Frosted Cerulean Blue Wire Wrapped earrings from the shop of byebyebirdy.  I know Wendy, and she is a wonderful person who takes great pride in her work.  You'll love her shop.
And here's my friend Nina from You Are My Sunshine.  I have purchased several items from her, and even had a custom order with her, and everything she sent me was even better then I expected.  Lovely and soft and feminin and simply wonderful.  Just like this Statement Necklace, vivid fuschia silk flowers and reclaimed vintage earrings make this a truly one of a kind necklace.
And lastly is a shop I have not purchased from (I don't have a cat) but I just love what  Amélie creates, so I like to check in often to see what's new, like this Southern Belle Hat with WigToScarboroughFair has been features all over the place, in movies, and lately on Good Morning America.  Wow!  And Congrats!!

And now it's your turn.  Link up and share....and let's party!!!

Besteam feature on Elizabeth MD

Well, it's been an unbelievable week, one thing after the other, then before you know it, it's been 6 days since my last blog.  So much for my new blogging schedule.  But I am here now, and I am thrilled to be sharing another great BESTeam member, Elizabeth MD Jewelry.  Elizabeth is from north of the border, Sarnia Ontario, Canada, to be exact.  While reading her profile on her Etsy page, I could see that Elizabeth likes, well, most everything, lol.  Here are just a few that I also like...historical costumes and re-enactment garb, the medieval era, animal, nature, and of course, handmade!

I also love this Kawaii Purple Bunny Ring. What a cute gift for the little (or big) girl in your life.  It comes on an adjustable band, nickel free silver, or copper, so be careful which listing you choose.

My next pick is another ring, but an absolutely beautiful ring.  This Purple Plumeria Flower Ring is a great look all year long.  Set on a silver adjustable band, anyone can wear this ring.  And at a 1" diameter, it will make quite a statement.

My last pick is this Tiger Agate and Blown Glass Double Strand Necklace.  I love that the colors are neutral to match most any outfit, but also colorful enough to stand on it's own.  With different shaped beads and uneven chain lengths, it really is quite eyecatching.

Elizabeth shares her love of everything with everyone on her blog.  You can also follow her on twitter, and be kept up to the minute with all things new about Elizabeth MD Jewelery.

Besteam feature on Luto Jewellery

Luto Jewellery is a little shop from Manchester England, and is the dream of Leonnie Wharton.  Leonnie started making jewelry as a way to satisfy her need for bling, then she decided to share her creations with the rest of the world.  Right now she is in the middle of re-vamping her shop, so bookmark the page and check back often to see her new listings.  And with that said let me introduce you to 2 pieces that I really like....
here is her Mixed Color Leaf Flora Charm Bracelet with Peach and Pearl Beads.  I love the colors on this bracelet...so many different colors and shades of colors to match pretty much any outfit you decide to wear.  It's pretty enough for a dressy night on the town, casual enough for that business suit, and funky enough for a mommy get-together.
My next pick is this Antique Gold and Pearl Pendant Verity Necklace.  I love vintage, looking at something and imagining where is was and who used it in it's past.  There is just something Titanic classy about this necklace.  Just a great all around piece to round out your jewelry collection.  Leonnie also just started a blog, where you can learn more about her, and meet other Etsy artists and crafters that she enjoys and shares with her readers.  Now remember, clicking on any of the links above will wisk you away to visit Leonnie.  And when you're there, don't forget to bookmark the page for your future visits.

Besteam feature on Poison Garden

This week I'm browsing the shop of a BESTeam newbie...Poison Garden.  Three friends, Melissa, Suzette, and Crystal share this Etsy shop, which is full of great romantic jewelry and accessories.  I was intrigued when I was reading their blog, and saw their pictures.  I want to share those pictures with you, because they look like they would be a blast to hang out with.  I love their romantic style!

From left to right we have...Crystal...Melissa...and Suzette.  Love that hat on Suzette!  And this great fashion style flows into their custom designs, gothic, steampunk, ribbons, suncatchers...you'll find it here.  Let me show you what I found while shopping their store.
This Smokey Rose Suncatcher would look great hanging from my
mini-van rear view mirror.  One look at this and maybe I'll hear the wisper of a wind blowing thru an english rose garden instead of "mom...he's looking at me".

I love pearls...and this large pearl pendant looks wonderful.  Hanging from a choker created with sliver rose beads, clear beads, and small white beads, this is a great look for both casual jeans, and that classy little dress.  The Margaret style Pear Choker is just waiting for someone to take it home.

My eye became stuck on the gorgeous colors of this Purple and Teal Feather Hair Clip.  I love color, but if I bought this, I would have to buy a new outfit to match.  Hmmmmm, maybe I should think about this? So if your drawn to this hair clip like I am, you better get it quick.

The girls also have a wonderful blog just jammed full of artist features, info on them, upcoming shows, custom work...be sure to follow this blog.  Or if you prefer quick updates, check out thier facebook page.  And for even faster updates...twitter!  So hurry...and have fun shopping with Poison Garden.
